234th Annual Meeting

Dear Beloved Members - Congregations, Individuals, Friends and Visitors,
The 234th Annual Meeting of the American Baptist Churches of Metropolitan New York: its predecessor organizations, and the Annual Business Meetings of the Baptist Fresh Air Home Society and the Metropolitan Baptist Camps will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025. The 2025 theme, Be The Light: Moral Courage Under Fire is drawn our core beliefs and practices as Christians. Informed by the Old Testament, the Gospels, as well as the Epistles, and our metropolitan area, nation and the world is our context for being the light and being persons of moral courage. This theme has shaped our mission this year and will inspire the worshipful work of our 234th ABCMNY Annual Meeting.
We are thrilled that our 234th Annual Meeting will be hosted by the Riverside Church of New York, located at 490 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10027. We are grateful for the leadership of Senior Pastor, Rev. Adriene Thorne and her team who has graciously made The Riverside Church available to the ABCMNY family for our Annual Meeting.
OVERVIEW OF THE ANNUAL MEETING
The ABCMNY Annual Meeting will include the business session, the regional minister’s address, worship, music, a dynamic guest preacher, testimony of the ministries in our region, and our ABCMNY mission involvements in 2025. We will begin at 9:00 AM and plan to adjourn by 1:00 PM. Lunch will follow the annual session for those able to remain. Coffee and a light breakfast will be available for those who arrive early. Additional details will be provided in follow-up emails.
DELEGATES
Delegates will need to register for the business session in compliance with ABCMNY By-Laws and NY State laws for annual meetings of non-profit organizations. Delegates come to the Annual Meetings as representatives from their church and are entitled to vote in the business meetings. Please refer to the email and mail sent to your church to see how many delegates your church is allotted.
REGISTRATION FOR MEMBER CHURCHES
Registration will happen primarily online again this year. This will enable you to submit the names a donation (or mission gift) of $50.00 per person. This contribution will help ABCMNY sustain our shared mission and ministries.
We strongly encourage online registration. NOTE: Prior to beginning online registration, you will need to: know the church’s PIN number, provided at the top of the email. You may also look it up here.

Of course, you will have the option of mailing a check or bringing it with you to the meeting. A form for this purpose will be provided. If online registration proves to be too challenging, we will assist you in completing the registration for your church and its delegates. Please contact registrations@abcmny.org for help.
