Saturday, November 4, 2017 // LENOX ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH, Brooklyn

You are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God.

Ephesians 2:19

The 226th Annual Meeting of the American Baptist Churches of Metropolitan New York, its predecessor organizations, and the Annual Business Meetings of the Baptist Fresh Air Home Society and the Metropolitan Baptist Camps to be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017. These meeting will be hosted by Lenox Road Baptist Church, where the Reverend Dr. Kirkpatrick Cohall serves as Senior Pastor. Lenox Road Baptist Church is located at 1356 Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11226.

Our Annual theme “Crossings,” emerging from the passage found in Ephesians 2, will shape our meeting. Crossings urges us as disciples of Christ, to cross in faithfulness to God from places of familiarity and convenience to the places less familiar and known. Crossings asks of us to be in relationship with persons who may not share your ethnic identity, outlook on life, or speak your primary language. The theme is connected to our Living Our Vision and Values Strategic Plan: calling member congregations to connect more deeply to those within our diverse membership; that our trust of and comfort with one another might increase; to create greater opportunities to engage together in mission and ministry.

In addition to our business session in which delegates will represent the interests of their congregation and the region at large, we look forward to times of inspiration through worship, and missional address by the Regional Executive Minister; the Rev. Sharon T. Koh, Executive Director of ABCUSA International Ministries; and the Rev. Raul Ruiz, Senior Pastor of the Spanish American Baptist Church of Union City, New Jersey.

Registration and continental breakfast begin at 7:30 AM. The morning session will begin at 8:45 AM, and we will plan to conclude at 3:30 PM. A more detailed schedule and practical information (child care, transportation, etc.) can be found online.

Member Church Delegates

Delegates (pastor included) are sent as representatives of their church and are entitled to vote in the business meetings. It is very important that you provide information on the number and names of delegates who will represent your congregation when registering. Please refer to the invitation letter to see how many delegates your church is allowed.

Registration for Member Churches

Available again this year is online registration. This will enable you to not only submit the names of delegates, but also pay by credit card online. You will still have the option to mail a check. In addition, you can download and print a form to submit the same information by post, fax, or email if you prefer. You’ll need to know the church’s PIN number, which is provided in the invitation letter. Register your church and delegates here.

Registration for Visitors/Friends

Beyond delegates, there is no limit to the number of visitors/friends who can attend, and we encourage you to invite all who would like to participate in worship or learn more about the American Baptist Churches. Register visitors and friends here.

Please review the Payment and Registration Practice for a complete list of costs and deadlines and our cancellation/refund policy. There is a discount for registering and prepaying early.

The deadline for early bird registration was Friday, October 20, 2017.
